Ace filmmaker Tunde Kelani partners with Irish Filmmaker,float filmschool

      Nigerian ace film producer and director, Tunde Kelani is partnering with seasoned Irish filmmaker cashell horgan to float a new film training school AFTTA which stands for Advanced film and Television training Africa. The film school is set to elevate the skills of Nigerian film and Television professionals.A press conference was recently held to unveil the partnership.     "Training of  professionals had been an adhoc exercise over the last decade in Nigeria because just a few have the time, resources or inclination to plan for longer-term training"Tunde kelani said at the press conference “With AFTTA, we are offering the level of advanced training that would normally only be available in other distant countries and otherwise could not be affordable,” Kelani said.      Tunde kelani has directed  Nollywood hit movies like Oleku,Thunderbolt ,Abeni, Agogo ewo, campus queen and many more.

British singer Adele to have throat surgery, cancels 2011 tour dates

   Adele's voice has given her the biggest success this year — and the most trouble. The singer will have throat  and has now canceled all tour dates and promotional appearances for the year.   Columbia announced Friday that the "Rolling in the deep" singer will have surgery "to alleviate the current issues with her throat." A full recovery is expected. Earlier this month, the 23-year-old canceled a U.S. concert run due to a hemorrhage in her vocal chord; she also canceled concerts in June due to laryngitis.    The statement said that doctors have ordered the Grammy winner to rest her voice and "completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments." Adele's "21" is the best-selling CD of the year in the United States; it's sold over 4 million units. Associated press

Legendary singer, Onyeka onwenu loses Mum

     Legenday singer, Onyeka Onwenu is not happy at the moment as she just lost her mother ,Madam Hope onwenu who would have turned 93 years old in January ,2012.  Madam hope who is a community leader and former choirmaster of the Lagos Anglican church passed away on october 22  in Anambra state Burial Arrangements is yet to be announced!!! May her soul R.I.P

King Wasiu Ayinde named Fuji musicians leader, assumes late barrister's position

       Elders and Executive members of Fuji Musicians association of Nigeria ,FUMAN have named King wasiu Ayinde Marshall the Grand patron of the Association. They honoured him with the title during their visit to his Ijebu ode,Ogun state residence. The honour was backed with a letter dated 25 October, 2011 and a communiqué signed by at least 34 state chairmen, including the President of the association, Alhaji Saka Odunsi a.k.a. Saka Orobo       Speaking after the presentation of the letter, King Wasiu said that he is highly elated to step into the shoes of the late Alhaji Ayinde Barrister. “I have said it time without number that I am bigger than the National Chairman of FUMAN and I am not contesting it with anyboby.     Continuing, he said that with the honour bestowed on him, he will continue to contribute to the development of the association and that he will ensure that the association is well organised
